Non-Emergent Wheelchair Transportation Services

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide non-emergent wheelchair transportation services to veterans. The services will be provided 365 days per year, 24 hours per day, regardless of distance. The contractor will be required to provide wheelchair transportation services, including communication methods available at all times for requests and incidents. The contractor will also be required to have dedicated staff available to monitor the VetRide or VA-approved transportation portal 24/7. The proposal that provides the lowest price of all the proposals received and is otherwise technically acceptable shall be selected for award. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing non-emergent wheelchair transportation services to veterans • Having dedicated staff available to monitor the VetRide or VA-approved transportation portal 24/7 • Providing communication methods available at all times for requests and incidents • Having a plan in place for maintaining sufficient driver and vehicle availability to meet the requirements • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to licensing and permits • Providing a toll-free number for VA calls • Having a Quality Control Plan (QCP) in place to ensure that all services are provided in accordance with the requirements of the contract.
