Special Education Teaching Services

Southwest Independent School District (SWISD) is seeking qualified vendors to provide on‑site Special Education Teaching Services on an “as‑needed” basis for the period September 1 2025 through May 31 2030. Vendors will be placed on a non‑exclusive list and called upon when the district has unfilled vacancies, staff on leave, or additional service needs. Qualified teachers must hold a Texas teaching certificate with appropriate special‑education endorsements, possess a bachelor’s degree, and be able to perform crisis‑prevention interventions, develop IEPs, and provide direct instruction and related services. The contract will be awarded to multiple vendors (primary and secondary) and will require background checks, proof of licensure, insurance, and compliance with Texas Education Code and federal regulations. Bids are to be submitted electronically by May 31 2030; questions must be submitted by May 15 2030.
