Budget estimate

$150,000 – $500,000

The broker’s compensation is typically structured as a combination of a flat administrative fee plus a percentage of premiums or employee participation. For a mid‑size municipal workforce (≈2,000 employees) with a modest voluntary benefits portfolio, annual revenues can range from $150 K (small‑scale administration) up to $500 K (larger product mix and higher participation). Factors influencing the budget include the number of benefit options offered, enrollment rates, negotiated carrier commissions, and any performance‑based incentives.
