Description
The Westbury Union Free School District is seeking a qualified consultant to perform internal claims auditor services for the 2026‑2027 fiscal year. The auditor will bi‑weekly review voucher and conference‑reimbursement packets for completeness, compliance with purchasing policies, tax‑exempt status, and bidding requirements, certify warrants for check issuance, and produce regular reports for the audit committee and Board of Education. The contract runs from 1 December 2026 through 30 June 2027 with the possibility of up to four one‑year renewals, and the District will evaluate proposals based on price (40 %) and qualifications (60 %).
• Bi‑weekly audit of all voucher and conference‑reimbursement packets, ensuring policy and legal compliance.
• Quarterly audit‑committee reports, monthly written Board reports, and twice‑yearly verbal Board briefings.
• Required insurance coverages (CGL, Auto, Workers’ Comp, E&O, Umbrella) and various certifications (Iran Divestment, Non‑Collusive, FOIA).
