RFP – Auditor

The Borough of Hightstown is seeking a qualified New Jersey Licensed Registered Municipal Accountant (RMA) to conduct the annual audit of its fiscal year ending December 31 2026 and to provide ongoing audit and related financial services throughout calendar year 2027. The contract is a one‑year professional services agreement with the possibility of extensions, and the winning firm must meet state‑mandated licensing, insurance, and equal‑employment‑opportunity requirements. Submissions must be sealed and delivered in duplicate plus a flash drive by the specified deadline, and the award is expected at the January 2027 council meeting. • Perform the statutory annual audit of the Borough’s financial statements per GAAS/GAGAS. • Deliver any additional accounting, audit, or financial advisory services requested by the Mayor, Council, CFO, or Business Administrator during 2027. • Must be a New Jersey RMA and provide detailed cost breakdown (hourly rates, “not‑to‑exceed” total) along with all required certifications, disclosures, and insurance coverage. • All proposals must include ten required forms (ownership, non‑collusion, insurance, EEO, ADA, etc.) and be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to the Borough Clerk.
