Special Education Evaluation Services

The Southwest Independent School District is seeking to engage with qualified persons and/or companies to provide Special Education Evaluation Services. The services required include evaluations, counseling, and development of plans for students with disabilities. The district is looking for licensed Educational Diagnosticians and Licensed Specialists in School Psychology to conduct evaluations and attend meetings with multi-disciplinary teams. The selected vendors will be used on an "as needed" basis, and the contract will be for a period of five years, from September 1, 2025, to May 31, 2030. Key aspects of the job include: * Evaluating students using district-approved evaluation instruments and completing evaluation reports * Providing counseling services to individual students and consulting with teachers, staff, and parents * Attending ARD/IEP meetings and completing ARD/IEP documentation * Maintaining accurate and complete data of services provided and student progress * Complying with district standards for assessment, evaluation, and eligibility * Meeting the requested schedule availability and performing tasks as requested by the Special Education department
