The Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking qualified architectural/engineering firms to design and administer construction of new housing facilities at two correctional campuses (St. Louis and Oaks). The scope includes programming, schematic design, site development, design development, final design documentation (including IT, security, furniture, fixtures, equipment, signage), and construction administration (office and field). The project will deliver a 176‑bed Level V housing unit at St. Louis and a 240‑bed Level IV facility at Oaks, with LEED Silver sustainability goals, enhanced accessibility, and modern security features. Firms must submit a detailed questionnaire by October 8, 2026, and answer any questions by October 1, 2026. The selected Professional Services Contractor will advance the design through all phases and support the construction manager during bidding and construction.
