Metro Nashville Public Schools is seeking a qualified dental insurance carrier or administrative services organization (ASO) to provide comprehensive dental benefits for approximately 10,000 covered individuals (employees, retirees, and dependents) beginning January 1 2027 for a five‑year term. The solicitation requires fully‑insured and/or self‑funded plan options, including a standard “low” plan, a “high” plan with adult and child orthodontia coverage, and an optional ASO structure. Vendors must submit detailed premium rate tables for each plan tier, provide a robust provider network covering multiple Tennessee counties, and offer a five‑year rate guarantee (separate guaranteed rates per year). Additional expectations include implementation and ongoing allowances, compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements, and the ability to handle claims, utilization reporting, and data‑feed services. • Provide fully‑insured dental plans and/or ASO administration with “low” and “high” plan designs. • Include orthodontia coverage (children $1,250‑$1,500 lifetime max) and specific benefit limits (e.g., bite‑wing X‑ray, crowns, root canals). • Submit a complete provider‑network list for the service area and meet a 75 % employer contribution rate on premiums. • Offer a five‑year rate guarantee, implementation allowances, and ongoing general allowances. • Comply with HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, insurance certificate requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
