Bentek Systems Ltd. (SCADALink)

The County of Hawaii, Department of Water Supply is seeking to purchase SCADALink RIO900 Wireless Analog Radio System and associated components from Bentek Systems Ltd. The system provides wireless telemetry for monitoring and control of remote water sites, using a license-free 900 MHz radio platform compatible with the department's current SCADALink infrastructure. The purchase includes industrial wireless telemetry RTU, analog input and output expansion modules, jumper cables, coaxial interconnect cables, antenna lightning arrestors, and freight. The total cost of the equipment is $5,125.00. • The system is required to maintain continuity and reliability of the existing DWS SCADALink RIO900 network. • Only Bentek Systems Ltd., the original equipment manufacturer, supplies compatible hardware and firmware for these units. • Other vendors were reviewed, but none offered devices identical to the RIO900 hardware and firmware used in existing DWS installations.
