Budget estimate

$555,000 – $1,110,000

The engineer’s estimate for the entire project is $11,100,000. Public‑works contracts of this size typically allow a contractor profit margin of 5‑10 % after covering labor, materials, bonds, and insurance. Assuming a 5‑10 % net profit, the expected budget to the winning contractor would be roughly $555,000 to $1,110,000. Factors influencing the final amount include the bidder’s cost efficiencies, the final awarded price after bid evaluation, and any change‑order adjustments during construction.
