Preservation Design Guidelines

The City of Sandy is seeking proposals from historic preservation professionals to assist in the creation and adoption of preservation design guidelines for the Historic Sandy district. The guidelines should be in line with The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties to ensure owners qualify for potential tax credit. The selected vendor will be responsible for reviewing the Historic Sandy National Listing and the Historic Sandy Neighborhood Plan, preparing an initial draft of the guidelines, meeting with the Historic Committee, and presenting the draft to the Planning Commission and City Council. • The vendor should have experience in historic preservation and rehabilitation. • The vendor should be able to create clear, user-friendly visuals and communicate effectively with staff and the public. • The vendor should be able to complete the project within the given timeline. • The vendor should be able to provide a completion timeline and a cost proposal.
