Description
California Highway Patrol is seeking a single contractor to provide on‑demand, 24‑hour‑a‑day, seven‑days‑a‑week evidence‑impound tow and storage services for its Tracy Area Office. The contractor must operate tow trucks of varying capacities, maintain secure storage for impounded vehicles, and be able to respond quickly to CHP calls throughout the Tracy jurisdiction. The contract is capped at $49,999 and will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bid after any applicable small‑business preferences.
• Perform light, medium, and heavy‑duty towing with hourly rates; additional time billed in 15‑minute increments.
• Provide flat‑rate daily storage for up to 25 vehicles, including commercial‑vehicle storage with no dolly charge.
• Maintain 24/7 on‑call availability, secure storage facilities, monthly inventory reports, and meet licensing, insurance, and background‑check requirements.
• Must be a current Rotation Tow provider in good standing with CHP and meet all statutory compliance and security clearances.
• Preference incentives of up to 5 % are available for qualified small, micro, DVBE, or nonprofit veteran businesses.
