Prequalification for Temporary Housing Support Services

The City of Norfolk is seeking qualified vendors to provide temporary housing and/or extended-stay housing services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The services must be provided in hotels, community shelters, or similar accommodations within Norfolk city limits. The City is looking for vendors who can accommodate clients for at least two weeks and up to six months or longer, on an as-needed basis. The selected vendors will be required to provide clean and safe accommodations, housekeeping services, and access to basic amenities such as laundry facilities and food delivery services. • The City will inspect the temporary housing options and monitor the services provided to ensure compliance with health and safety codes. • The selected vendors will be required to report any incidents involving clients to the City's contract manager within 24 hours. • The City encourages small businesses and businesses owned by women and minorities to compete for this opportunity. • The selected vendors will be required to comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those related to nondiscrimination and ethics in public contracting.
