CC-623-250-001 BCCC Nursing Building Renovation and Addition

The Maryland Department of General Services is seeking a contractor to provide design services for the renovation and expansion of the Nursing Building at the Baltimore City Community College. The project includes designing the renovation and expansion of the existing building, as well as providing support during the construction phase. The selected contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the project meets the requirements outlined in the solicitation, including compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and current occupational and life safety standards. • The project requires the contractor to investigate areas surrounding the Nursing Building to best situate the expansion and development of the site. • The contractor must provide evaluation of the existing structure for reuse and replace all original building systems. • The contractor must work with the State to incorporate public art into the design. • The contractor must ensure that the final construction is LEED Silver certified and all-electric, with the exception of a backup generator. • The contractor must provide design services as required to implement the design program. • The contractor must provide support during the construction phase.
