Request for Proposals - Assessing Support Services

The Town of Essex, Vermont is seeking a qualified firm or contractor to provide in-person Assessing support services from October 6, 2025, through June 30, 2026, up to 20 hours/week. The selected candidate will assist with property tax assessment functions, valuation of real property, and other associated technical and administrative work. Key qualifications include comprehensive knowledge of property appraisal principles, advanced computer skills, and ability to maintain detailed and accurate records. • Comprehensive knowledge of current property appraisal principles and practices • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records with advanced computer skills • Ability to perform contracted services in person • Ability to interact personally and professionally with co-workers and the public • Ability to support departmental operations and procedures
