TPA AND RECORD KEEPING SERVICES FOR MEHIP RFP

The State of Connecticut is seeking a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to provide record-keeping services for the Municipal Employees Health Insurance Program (MEHIP). MEHIP is a splice program that allows employers to choose from a menu of health plans under a single billing arrangement. The TPA will be responsible for coordinating the monthly billing for participating employers and arranging for add-on services such as Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA), or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). • The TPA will work with the State's selected insurance carrier, currently Anthem for medical coverage and Caremark CVS for prescription coverage. • The TPA will provide record-keeping services for MEHIP. • The program includes a TPA per participant per month (PPPM) fee. • The TPA will coordinate the monthly billing for participating employers.
