Capitol Modern, the Hawaii State art Museum Security Services

The State of Hawaii is seeking a contractor to provide security services for the protection of state assets and the safety of visitors and staff at the Capitol Modern, the Hawaii State Art Museum. The contractor will be responsible for providing security attendant services, including general patrolling, maintaining laws and rules, protecting property and equipment, and reporting any problems or incidents. The contractor must have a valid guard card service license, have been in the security guard business for at least two consecutive years, and have a permanent office and representative in the state of Hawaii. The contractor will also be responsible for providing background checks for all security guards assigned to the contract. • The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for an additional year. • The contractor must provide security services as needed, according to the work schedule issued by the Contract Administrator. • The contractor must provide additional security services, if required, during or after official work hours at the inclusive unit bid price per Security Attendant. • The contractor must provide all necessary documentation to verify compliance with the qualifications and requirements within three working days of receipt of a written request from the State. • The contractor must provide uniforms and name tags for all employees providing services under this contract. • The contractor must assign only guards that meet the requirements listed in the specifications section. • The contractor must complete security criminal background checks and complete testing for illegal substances on all guard personnel assigned to the site.
