Purchase and installation of a Gerstel Freestyle Robotic System

The USDA is seeking to purchase and install a Gerstel Freestyle Robotic System with SPE module for automatic immune affinity column (IAC) sample cleanup, concentration, and preparation. The system will be used for the determination of moisture and fat content in food samples using the American Association of Analytical Chemists (AOAC) method. The contract is expected to be a firm-fixed price requirements contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, for a total duration of five years. The evaluation criteria include technical approach, price, and past performance. • The technical approach will evaluate the ability of the offeror to provide a sound and compliant approach that meets all requirements. • The price will be evaluated to determine if it is fair and reasonable. • The past performance will be evaluated to determine if it is acceptable or neutral. The award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is determined to be the most technically advantageous, with a fair and reasonable price, and acceptable or neutral past performance.
