VA Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert Services

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VHA Midwest Consortium seeks a Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Business to provide virtual Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert (MRSE) services for VA facilities in VISNs 15 and 23. The contractor will deliver both routine (≤8‑hour response) and emergency (≤1‑hour response) MR safety consulting, including device‑implant safety assessments, MR safety program development, protocol guidance, equipment installation support, root‑cause analysis, and participation in quarterly MRI safety committee meetings. Services are performed remotely 24/7/365 for a five‑year indefinite‑delivery‑indefinite‑quantity (IDIQ) contract, with one‑year ordering periods that may be exercised as needed. The contract is set‑aside for SDVOSBs, requires certification by the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (or equivalent), at least three years of MR safety experience, U.S. citizenship, and compliance with VA security and records‑management rules. • Virtual MR safety consulting for all participating VA sites (VISNs 15 & 23) • Routine and emergency response with 8‑hour and 1‑hour turnaround times respectively • Support for device‑implant safety, MR safety program QA, protocol development, equipment acceptance, and incident investigations • 24/7 availability, including federal holidays, with quarterly committee participation via MS Teams • Five one‑year ordering periods (2026‑2031) under a firm‑fixed‑price IDIQ • Set‑aside for Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Businesses; SAM registration required.
