INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) for VAT Reclamation Services

The University of Utah is seeking a qualified supplier to provide VAT (Value-Added Tax) analysis and reclamation services. The selected vendor will be responsible for auditing all transactions, identifying non-claimable expenses, and providing the entire process of invoice review, filing, and tax office correspondence. The vendor must have extensive VAT knowledge, multiple language capabilities, and awareness of legislative changes. The contract will be for a period of one year, with an option to renew for four additional periods of one year each. Key aspects of the job include: • Auditing all transactions regardless of data provided or amount of the transaction with 100% accuracy in multiple global jurisdictions • Analyzing and identifying non-claimable expenses within invoice line items and not overclaiming any ineligible expenses • Providing the entire process of invoice review, filing, and tax office correspondence • Utilizing extensive VAT knowledge, multiple language capabilities, and awareness of legislative changes • Providing a dedicated account manager with regular reporting on progress • Conducting annual audits of prior periods for the presence of VAT data and submitting reclamation for any paid VAT in that period to the associated country on behalf of the client
