FLEET MANAGEMENT, PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR

The Bronson Community Schools is seeking a contractor to provide fleet management and maintenance services for its school bus and support fleet. The contractor will be responsible for providing scheduled preventive maintenance, remedial repairs, parts inventory acquisition and management, and other associated services. The contract term is expected to be 90 days, with the possibility of renewal. The contractor must have experience managing and maintaining school fleets and must meet certain qualifications and requirements. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing preventive maintenance and repairs for the school bus fleet • Managing parts inventory and tracking usage • Coordinating with the transportation supervisor and business manager • Maintaining a permanent, detailed, automated record system for each vehicle • Providing emergency road service calls and quick fix repairs • Administering warranties and tracking re-work • Preparing newly acquired vehicles for service and disposing of sold vehicles • Maintaining security of school vehicles and equipment • Assisting with purchases and inspections of additional or replacement vehicles • Providing fueling services and miscellaneous other services as needed
