Wolf Creek Dam Liquid Oxygen Supply

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of supplying and delivering bulk Liquid Oxygen (LOX) to support a cryogenic diffusion system at the Wolf Creek Dam Site in Jamestown, Kentucky. The system diffuses oxygen into a reservoir to increase water quality, specifically Dissolved Oxygen (DO) levels. The contractor must provide flexible, on-demand deliveries that accommodate slow ramp-up periods, extreme peak usage, and ramp-down periods. The estimated total demand for the 2026 season is 3,700 tons of LOX. • The contractor must be capable of delivering between 23 and 46 tons daily during system initiation. • The contractor must be capable of delivering between 46 and 92 tons daily during the initial shoulder season. • The contractor must be capable of delivering up to 120 tons daily during the peak season. • The contractor must be capable of delivering between 46 and 92 tons daily during the final shoulder season. • The contractor must be capable of delivering between 23 and 46 tons daily during system deactivation.
