Description

The Santa Clara County Office of Education seeks a qualified mental‑health consulting provider to deliver on‑site mental‑health services for its Head Start and Early Head Start programs, serving roughly 1,690 children across ~100 classrooms in Santa Clara and San Benito counties. The contractor must staff licensed clinicians, conduct regular multidisciplinary team meetings, provide classroom‑based consultations, parent/family support, crisis response, and monthly/quarter‑monthly reporting. The contract is for one year with up‑to‑four optional extensions. Proposals must be submitted in three sealed hard‑copy envelopes by June 16, 2025, and will be evaluated on price, reputation, staff qualifications, experience with children 0‑5, and schedule compliance. • Provide ≥ 6 visits/contact events per classroom per year, plus MDT meetings, site‑director consultations, and crisis interventions. • Staff must include a licensed clinical supervisor (LMFT, LCSW, or Clinical Psychologist) and graduate‑level clinicians experienced with low‑income, multi‑ethnic families. • Deliver monthly service reports, quarterly administrative documentation, and conduct requested staff trainings; all services are in‑person only (no tele‑health).

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $1,500,000

No budget is disclosed, but a contract covering a full‑time multidisciplinary team for ~1,700 children over a year typically falls in the mid‑six‑figure to low‑seven‑figure range. Assuming average hourly rates of $120‑$200 for licensed clinicians, plus supervisory and travel costs, the total contract value is likely between $500,000 and $1,500,000. Factors influencing the range include the number of staff assigned, mileage/travel reimbursements, and any optional extension years.
