AI and Data Science Specialist Support – Health and Extreme Weather Project

The NIH Clinical Center’s Critical Care Medicine Department seeks a Ph.D‑level AI and Data Science specialist to support a two‑year Health and Extreme Weather research study. The work involves consulting on study design, preparing and exploring large heterogeneous health datasets, developing and fine‑tuning large language models, building scalable machine‑learning pipelines, evaluating model performance, and producing technical reports and manuscripts. The Government intends to award the effort to the University of Maryland, College Park, but other qualified entities may submit capability statements by the deadline. • Provide AI/ML technical consultation and feasibility analyses for the study. • Develop, fine‑tune, and assess large language models on EMS free‑text narratives. • Create scalable data‑processing pipelines and deliver comprehensive technical documentation and presentations.
