Vista/Carlsbad Reach VC-2 Manhole Rehabilitation Project

The City of Carlsbad is soliciting a qualified contractor to fully rehabilitate three sewer manholes (units 2C‑5, 2C‑6, 2C‑7) on the VISTA/Carlsbad Reach VC‑2 pipeline. The work encompasses internal inspection, cleaning, structural repairs, installation of geopolymer and epoxy liners, replacement of frames, covers, and concrete pads, as well as all ancillary civil‑work services required for a complete, watertight system. • Remove existing frames & covers, install new composite gasketed frames, covers, and concrete pads. • Apply 1‑in. geopolymer liner plus 250 mil epoxy liner, and install curtain grout to stop infiltration. • Provide required ancillary services: SWPPP preparation & implementation, temporary traffic control, utility protection, de‑watering, and detailed documentation/close‑out. • Bonds & financials: 10 % bid security, 100 % performance & payment bonds, 5 % retainage, $2 000 per day liquidated damages for late completion.
