The State of Hawaii’s Employees’ Retirement System (ERS) is seeking an experienced executive search firm to lead the recruitment, assessment, and selection of a new Executive Director. The firm will manage the full search process, including market research, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and final recommendation, while ensuring compliance with Hawaii’s HCE requirements and state procurement rules. Work will be performed primarily from the ERS office in Honolulu, with possible travel for candidate meetings.
• Scope includes development of a search strategy, advertising, candidate outreach, and comprehensive evaluation.
• Firm must have proven experience placing senior executives in public pension, government, or financial sectors.
• Services are a single “job” with a fixed‑price award; all taxes and a 0.75% transaction fee (capped at $5,000) are included in the bid.
• Submission deadline is 10/30/2026 at 2:00 PM via the HIePRO e‑procurement portal.
• Vendor must be HCE‑compliant at award time and provide required certifications.
