The City of Charlottesville is establishing a one‑year term contract (renewable up to three additional years) for on‑call geotechnical consulting services. Qualified firms will be tasked, on a project‑by‑project basis, with subsurface exploration, laboratory testing, data analysis, reporting, and technical consultation to support municipal construction, utility, road, bridge, and storm‑water projects. Work orders are issued with a 48‑hour notice window, and the contractor must be available Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑5 pm (with after‑hours capability as needed).
