The City of Wilmington is seeking a prime contractor to renovate the fourth floor of the Skyline Center office building. The scope includes demolition, construction of metal‑framed gypsum demising walls, installation of interior doors and windows, acoustic ceiling tiles, and optional tenant‑fit‑out work. Two alternates expand the work: a 1,840 sq ft tenant renovation in Suite D and an additional 110 lf of demising wall. The project must comply with North Carolina Building Code Chapter 33 and meet a 14 % M/WBE subcontracting goal. Bids are sealed, single‑prime only, and must be submitted by January 9 2025 3 PM; the construction period is 120 calendar days to substantial completion plus a 20‑day final completion window, with liquidated damages of $385 per day for overruns.
