Campus Street Sweeper

The Department of University Procurement at Eastern Kentucky University issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for a campus street sweeper. The solicitation required bidders to provide a street sweeper that meets the minimum requirements specified in the ITB. The contract was awarded to Stringfellow Inc for a total bid price of $111,985.00. The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to support the delivery and set up of the equipment required by Eastern Kentucky University. • The street sweeper must be a 2020 Tymco 210 Gas Air Sweeper mounted on a 2020 Isuzu NPR-HD cab with left-hand steering, or a university-approved equivalent. • The sweeper must have a gasoline auxiliary engine with a Blue Logic Control System. • The sweeper must have a dust separator clean out plug with an extension handle, severe weather wiring, and a back-up alarm. • The sweeper must have a duo skid system warranted for two years or 2000 hours. • The sweeper must have a reverse pick-up head system and auxiliary hydraulics. • The sweeper must have left and right gutter brooms with tilt adjusters. • The sweeper must have a Comdex water package and air purge system. • The sweeper must have an abrasion protection package and a dump switch in the cab. • The sweeper must have a hopper "up" alarm and hopper slide-out screens. • The sweeper must have a rubber-lined blower and a reverse pick-up head system. • The sweeper must have an auxiliary hand hose and auxiliary fuse panel. • The sweeper must have a backpack blower storage box and alternating LED warning lights. • The sweeper must have a camera system with two cameras and an LED flood light exchange. • The sweeper must have LED lights, including stop/turn/tail/clearance/side markers and traffic directing lights. • The sweeper must have a fire extinguisher and remote-controlled heated mirrors. • The sweeper must have factory training, training video, and lifetime on-site training included in the total bid price.
