Description
This contract establishes a cooperative purchasing agreement for the processing, packaging, labeling, and delivery of USDA‑commodity food products to the School District of Pickens County and 15 additional South Carolina school districts. The district issued an RFP on 28 Jan 2022, received bids by 15 Mar 2022, and issued an intent‑to‑award notice on 12 Apr 2022 with the award effective 22 Apr 2022. Twenty‑six approved USDA processors were each assigned specific commodity codes and are responsible for providing all‑inclusive “fee‑for‑service” deliveries of processed foods for the period 1 Jul 2022 – 30 Jun 2023. The work includes receipt of raw USDA allocations, processing into frozen or refrigerated products, compliant packaging and labeling, and FOB‑destination delivery to the schools. Payments are made on a net‑30‑day basis against triplicate invoices.
