Description
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is soliciting bids for the removal, transportation, and recycling of waste tires and highway tire scrap generated within KYTC Districts 2 through 12. The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, equipment, containers, transportation, permits, and services necessary to remove and properly recycle waste tire materials in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Key services include:
* Container provision: providing a 30 cubic yard roll-off container or equivalent-size open-top trailer at each selected site
* Notification and pickup: picking up waste tires upon notification by KYTC personnel when the container is full
* Material removal: removing all waste tire materials placed in the container
* Recycling requirement: guaranteeing that 100% of waste tires and tire scrap collected under this contract are recycled
* Cost responsibility: ensuring that KYTC incurs no further cost related to disposal, recycling, or handling of the waste tires after pickup by the vendor
* Permitting requirements: being properly permitted by the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection to collect, transport, and manage waste tires.
