SOURCES SOUGHT - AE DESIGN SERVICES - HANGAR DESIGN

The Volk Field Air National Guard Base is seeking sources for the design of a 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft Maintenance Hangar & Maintenance Shops. The facility must meet DoD Unified Facilities Criteria and applicable design standards. The project requires a permanent, high-bay maintenance hangar and associated maintenance shops using conventional design and construction methods. The notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation announcement. Interested firms should provide information on their experience with similar requirements, including size, scope, complexity, timeframe, and government or commercial experience. • The project requires a reinforced concrete foundation on a deep foundation system. • The project requires a water storage tank and pump house for fire suppression system. • The facility must meet applicable DoD, Air Force, and base design standards. • The facility must comply with DoD antiterrorism/force protection requirements. • The project requires recent and relevant experience designing and creating construction specifications for a Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft Maintenance Hangar. • The project requires recent and relevant experience designing a facility and creating construction specifications in compliance with the Intelligence Community Standard (ICD) 705 Physical and Technical Security Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities. • The project requires recent and relevant experience designing a facility and creating construction specifications with Aircraft Hangar Fire Detection and Suppression in compliance with the Air Force Sundown Policy for Foam Fire Suppression Systems and designed by a licensed Fire Protection Engineer.
