Description
The City of Danville’s Public Works Department is issuing an RFQ to establish a standby snow‑clearing contractor roster for the 2026‑2027 winter season. Selected contractors will receive a $1,500 retainer and must be ready to mobilize equipment and personnel within 12 hours of notification for any snow or ice event. The contract covers provision of motor graders and loaders (with operators), fuel, new cutting edges, and snow chains, as well as compliance with VDOT standards, safety, insurance, and drug‑free workplace requirements. Contractors will invoice after each storm and must maintain appropriate insurance and indemnification provisions.
