Nutrition RFP -Home Delivered Meals

The Washington County, Oregon, is seeking proposals from community organizations to provide home-delivered meals to older adults in the county. The meals must meet the nutrition requirements set forth in the Older Americans Act of 1965 and the State of Oregon's Nutrition Standards. The contractor will be responsible for providing hot meals or appropriate alternatives, assessing and determining the needs of home-delivered meal recipients, and providing nutrition education. The contractor will also be required to establish a record and reporting system, submit monthly reports, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations. • The contractor must provide meals that meet the Older Americans Act nutrition standards and comply with required program rules and service definitions. • The contractor must have experience in providing nutritional support to older adults and have a plan to provide meals that meet the needs of the target population. • The contractor must have a plan to recruit, orient, train, support, and monitor staff and volunteers. • The contractor must have a plan to provide nutrition education and establish a record and reporting system. • The contractor must comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and language access requirements.
