SVC-AMI/1626 - Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)

The City of Punta Gorda is seeking a turnkey Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution for its water utility. The contractor must replace all water meters ≤ 2 inches, install new endpoints, integrate the AMI network with the City’s existing ERP (CentralSquare Naviline), and provide software, hardware, and ongoing Network‑as‑a‑Service (NaaS) and Software‑as‑a‑Service (SaaS) support for an initial 10‑year term (with two optional 5‑year extensions). The scope includes hardware procurement, meter box and valve replacement, pipe modifications, site restoration, GPS‑accurate mapping, data integration, cybersecurity compliance, and a 500‑meter demonstration period funded by the proposer. • Replace/retrofit ~ 2,500 water meters (¾‑inch to 2‑inch) and install endpoints for larger meters (2‑inch‑8‑inch). • Provide full AMI hardware (meters, endpoints, repeaters, network equipment) and software (MDMS, middleware, analytics). • Integrate data via API to the City’s billing/CIS system; ensure ≥ 98 % read success and ≥ 99.9 % software uptime. • Perform all permitting, traffic control, excavation, and restoration work. • Deliver detailed installation sequencing, GPS‑accurate as‑built documentation, and photographic records. • Maintain security standards (CISA, MFA) and offer 24/7 network monitoring and support.
