Description
The Jackson County Fire District #1 is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide design-build services for the construction of a turn-key Solar + Energy Storage System at the District's main station. The project aims to create a resilient on-site solar plus storage system to support facility operations during a power outage, offset operating costs, enhance sustainability, and support the Fire District Operations in the event of a catastrophic electrical grid failure. The system will provide power to the larger grid system when operating under everyday circumstances.
Key aspects of the project include:
* Installing a solar photovoltaic (PV) system with a minimum capacity of 87 kW
* Installing a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a primary grid-forming resource
* Completing electrical infrastructure reconfiguration and upgrades
* Interconnecting, testing, and commissioning the system
* Providing a web-based monitoring system and training for Jackson County Fire District #1 staff
The proposed budget for this contract is between $585,630 and $603,630, and the project is expected to be completed within 365 days.
