MSU-Rideshare Services

Montana State University is soliciting proposals from rideshare suppliers to provide point-to-point transportation services for students as part of its Safe Ride program, Cat Cab. The program aims to offer safe-ride services within a 15-mile radius of the campus every weekend during the academic year, excluding winter break, Thanksgiving, and spring break. The selected contractor will provide a smartphone-based application for riders to easily hail a ride and must conduct thorough background checks on all drivers. The contractor must also provide on-demand services, offer customer support, and have the ability to invoice the university monthly. • Mandatory requirements include background checks for drivers, proper insurance for vehicles, and functioning seatbelts for all riders. • Preferred specifications include accommodating riders with accessibility requirements and integrating the app with pre-existing MSU systems. • The university desires to offer this program every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the academic year, from 5 pm to 5 am the following morning. • The contractor must provide individual reports breaking down the cost of individual rides and total spending for each weekend of service provided.
