RFP #2897 Workers Compensation Third Party Administrator Services

Marin County’s Risk Management Division is seeking a qualified third‑party administrator (TPA) to manage its self‑insured Workers’ Compensation program. The contractor will be responsible for full‑cycle claims administration, medical‑bill review, utilization review, nurse case management, return‑to‑work coordination, sub‑rogation, reporting, and transition of legacy claims. The contract will run three years starting July 1 2026 with two possible one‑year extensions, and the County expects a competitive cost proposal covering all services. • Claims intake, adjudication, reserve setting, indemnity and medical payments per PRISM standards. • Managed‑care services including bill review, utilization review, and nurse case management. • Reporting dashboards, RMIS access for County staff, OSHA/DART support, and sub‑rogation pursuit. • Transition plan for migrating existing open claims and data into the new TPA system. • No pre‑bid conference; proposals submitted via Bid Express by March 25 2026.
