The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a certified Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Business to provide fully staffed Surgical Operational Efficiency Specialists at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The contractor will support minimally invasive surgical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, manage inventory, and deliver extensive monthly performance reports while complying with strict security, DEI, and insurance requirements.
• Endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment support for ~12,500 cases/year, including repair coordination, loaner provision, and monthly preventive maintenance.
• Staffing requirement of roughly 640 labor hours per week, with specialists needing VA SPS Level 1 certification within 90 days of hire.
• Firm‑fixed‑price contract for a base year (Nov 2026‑Oct 2027) plus two optional one‑year extensions, up to a total term of five years, with extensive reporting and compliance obligations.
