Solicitation Waiver, Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)

The Governor's Office of Economic Development is seeking a non-competitive contract with SRI International to assess Nevada's current economic landscape, map key assets and challenges to growth, identify opportunities for emerging industries and diversification within mature industries, and develop strategies to catalyze a vibrant, innovative, and sustainable economy. The contract will provide an executive update to the current Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) plan. The scope of work includes utilizing existing 5-year plans to create an estimated 5-page summary, delivering an executive update of the statewide plan, and identifying how action items address economic disparities among Nevada's diverse communities. • The contract will start on January 13, 2026, and end on June 30, 2026. • The total estimated value of the contract is $25,000. • The vendor, SRI International, was previously contracted by the Governor's Office of Economic Development to develop a 5-year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. • The agency believes that contracting with the same vendor will leverage their extensive understanding of Nevada's economy and provide a cost savings.
