Scrap Tire Collection and Recycling Services RFP

Mecklenburg County is seeking a vendor to provide scrap tire collection and recycling services. The vendor will be responsible for collecting and transporting scrap tires from the County's Metal & Tire Facility to their own facility for recycling and/or shredding. The contract will be for an initial term of three years, with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms. The County is looking for a vendor that can provide a comprehensive solution for scrap tire collection and recycling, including staffing, equipment, and transportation. • The vendor must provide adequate staff to receive and load tires, as well as authenticate tire certification forms. • The vendor must provide equipment and transportation to collect and transport scrap tires. • The vendor must report the weight of tires collected to the County. • The vendor must charge the County according to the agreed-upon price schedule. • The vendor must have access to truck weight scales to report weights back to the County.
