Cooper High School Fieldhouse Addition

The Boone County Schools Board of Education is seeking proposals from qualified Architect/Engineer (A/E) firms for design services for the Cooper High School Fieldhouse Addition project. The project consists of a new addition to the existing athletic field house building, including a new weight room, locker room, restrooms, showers, coaches offices, and family restrooms, as well as a new free-standing building for concessions, restrooms, and storage. The selected A/E firm will be responsible for designing the project, managing the construction process, and ensuring that the project is completed within the defined time schedule and budget. The firm must have experience in designing educational buildings, maintain professional liability insurance, and have the ability to provide experienced staff. • The project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2027. • The A/E firm will be required to meet the requirements of 702 KAR 4:160. • The firm must have experience working with the Kentucky Department of Education and understanding of the funding sources that drive decisions made on Kentucky school construction projects. • The firm must provide a summary statement, not more than one page, which summarizes the reasons they feel their firm is best qualified for this project.
