Transmission Main and Water Main upgrade

The Chelmsford Water District is seeking a qualified contractor to replace and upgrade its transmission and water mains. The scope includes installing roughly 3,700 ft of 8‑inch ductile‑iron water main, about 40 new water service connections, bypass piping, 1,100 ft of 10‑inch ductile‑iron transmission pipe, 7,600 ft of 10‑inch HDPE transmission pipe, and modifying the Davis Street valve vault, with associated paving work. The contractor must complete the major construction within 214 consecutive calendar days, followed by a 30‑day final paving period, and comply with Massachusetts prevailing‑wage and payroll reporting requirements.
