Description
The United States Air Force is seeking a contractor to install a concrete housekeeping pad and a fully insulated “Hot Box” enclosure around an exposed water‑service riser at the 187th Fighter Wing in Montgomery, AL. The work includes site excavation, sub‑grade preparation, concrete pad construction, procurement and installation of a genuine Hot Box or ASSE‑1060‑compliant enclosure, and final site cleanup. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, and warranty documentation, and must meet freeze‑thaw concrete specifications and use 316 stainless‑steel anchors for the enclosure.
• Excavate, level, and compact the subgrade, then pour a 3,500‑4,000 psi air‑entrained concrete pad with proper slope for runoff.
• Provide and install a Hot Box enclosure (or equivalent) with R‑8 (or higher) insulation, secure it with heavy‑duty stainless‑steel anchors, and ensure access doors/locks.
• Perform full site cleanup, restore disturbed soil, and complete a final walkthrough with facility personnel.
