The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 1 is issuing a one‑time Request for Bid to procure 8,000 tons of road salt (sodium chloride) for winter‑maintenance stockpiles. Vendors may submit either delivered‑to‑site or pickup pricing; the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive price. Delivery must be completed to the Marshall County Regional Salt Facility (Calvert City, KY) by 31 December 2026, with penalties of 1 % per business day for late quantities.
