Engineering Services for FY25-26 Story County Edge of Field

The City of Ames is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services for the Story County Edge of Field project. The project involves conducting an initial review of field investigation data to determine the suitability of installing either a Saturated Buffer or Bioreactor for each of the 50 tile outlets that have been investigated. The selected firm will also be responsible for completing the final design of the tile outlets and providing construction services. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months. Key services include: • Initial determination of practice suitability • Final design of tile outlets • Construction services, including preconstruction meeting, shop drawing review, and site visits • Preparation of plans, specifications, and operation and maintenance manuals The City of Ames is looking for a firm with experience in similar projects and a strong understanding of the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy. The selection process will be based on the overall impression of the qualifications of the firm and the firm's proposed team.
