Popejoy On-Call Stagehands

The University of New Mexico is seeking an on‑call, as‑needed provider of skilled stage‑hand and theatrical‑technical labor to support events in Popejoy Hall and other UNM venues. The contractor must be able to respond to staffing calls within 12 hours, supply a full range of specialized personnel (e.g., head carpenter, riggers, electricians, A/V engineers, flymen, etc.), and comply with UNM uniform, safety, insurance, and documentation requirements. The contract is an indefinite‑delivery, “as‑needed” arrangement covering UNM’s FY 27 budgeting period, with billing based on authorized labor hours. Evaluation will focus heavily on resumes, technical approach, relevant experience, proposed rates, benefits, and financial strength. • Provide on‑call stage‑hand labor for Popejoy Hall and other UNM public‑event locations. • Must staff a wide array of technical positions and be able to mobilize within 12 hours of a call‑out. • Submit required forms (insurance, conflict‑of‑interest, submittal) and meet extensive documentation (employee lists, licenses, certifications). • Evaluation weighted: Resumes 30 %, Technical Approach 25 %, Experience 15 %, Rates 20 %, Benefits 5 %, Financial Strength 5 %. • No guaranteed minimum hours; contract runs for FY 27 (approximately one year).
