The City of Fairbanks is seeking a qualified auctioneer to conduct on‑site public auctions of city‑owned, impounded, and surplus items, including occasional firearms auctions. The contract will run for a minimum of two years, with up to three one‑year renewal options, and requires the provider to handle all pre‑auction preparation, advertising, on‑site staffing, post‑auction support, reporting, and financial reconciliation. The award will be based on qualifications, proposed procedures, and the commission fee percentage offered. • Conduct bi‑annual (or more) on‑site auctions at the Public Works Yard, handling lot preparation, tagging, photography, and on‑site security. • Provide full advertising package (newspaper, radio, website, social media) and manage bidder registration, cash handling, credit‑card processing, and final sales reporting within three business days of each auction. • Maintain required bonding ($100 k), insurance, and background clearances; submit bid guarantee, and comply with all City procurement regulations.
