RFQ-P - Playground Equipment, Outdoor Fitness Equipment, Site Accessories, Surfacing, and Other Related Products and Services

The City of Bakersfield’s Recreation & Parks Department is seeking qualified suppliers to provide a full suite of playground equipment, outdoor fitness gear, site accessories, surfacing materials, and related services for its 63 public parks. Vendors must deliver IPEMA‑certified, ADA‑compliant equipment, design and engineering drawings, installation, and long‑term parts support, adhering to strict safety, bonding, and insurance requirements. The contract is initially for two years with optional annual renewals and a total estimated value of roughly $500 K – $1.5 M. • Provide complete playground, fitness, and site accessory packages (equipment, surfacing, shade structures, etc.) • Supply design, engineering, installation, and ongoing maintenance services, including certified installers • Meet rigorous certification (IPEMA, ASTM), warranty, bonding, and insurance standards; maintain 15‑year parts inventory and rapid parts delivery
