RFP 27-02 Digital First Course Material and Campus Retail Solution

Montclair State University is seeking one or two contracts to provide a comprehensive “Digital First” textbook and course‑material platform (Scope A) and/or a modern, integrated campus retail solution (Scope B). The digital‑first platform must support inclusive‑access e‑books, physical textbook fulfillment, OER, faculty adoption tools, and full integration with the university’s SIS/LMS/finance systems. The retail solution must deliver an on‑site bookstore, online e‑commerce site, pop‑up/mobile units, and optional commencement‑regalia services, with pricing, branding, and staffing plans aligned to university standards. The contract is a 10‑year term with an optional 10‑year renewal, and the vendor will be paid a commission on gross sales plus any agreed‑upon capital‑investment reimbursements. • Scope A: digital textbook delivery, inclusive‑access, OER, physical book options, integration with SIS/LMS, dedicated curriculum specialist and program manager. • Scope B: 4,845 sq ft on‑campus store, online store, merchandise (apparel, supplies, tech, gifts), optional regalia, staffing plan, brand‑approval process, pricing & discount policies. • Vendor may bid for either scope or both; evaluation will be based on the selected scope(s). • Key dates: posting 21 Sep 2026, pre‑bid meeting 9 Oct 2026 (optional), questions due 15 Oct 2026, proposal due 18 Nov 2026, award expected Spring 2027, implementation beginning July 2027.
